West Ham just 5/4 to secure signature of Man City prodigy

Published:

West Ham United’s current strikeforce have scored just 14 Premier League goals this season. Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has started just five Prem games during the campaign. And the two could be set to solve one another’s problems this summer.

That’s because the 20-year-old is 5/4 make the Irons his next club, while 13/8 says he makes the move as soon as this summer.

The Citizens prodigy has netted 21 times in 63 games since making his debut against Watford in October 2015, becoming the club’s youngest ever scorer in a Manchester derby along the way.

So it’s inevitable that he’s attracted interest from fellow Prem clubs, though the Hammers are clear favourites, with second-favourites Liverpool 5/1 for his signature.

Everton are next in the betting at 11/2, with Southampton 7/1 shots and 8/1 on offer for the Nigerian to join former Citizens boss Mark Hughes at Stoke City.

And it’s Tottenham who round out the market at 10/1, with a move to the capital looking highly unlikely.

While Slaven Bilic’s focus will be turning towards the coming transfer window, the current West Ham crop will be keen to end the season on a high, and it’s 9/4 they secure a final-day victory at Burnley on Sunday.
