ICYMI: Odds-on that there’s no Scottish IndyRef2 in next decade

| 28.06.2017

Nicola Sturgeon’s latest announcement means it’s now odds-on that there will be no second Scottish independence referendum before the end of 2020, according to the latest update.

The First Minister told Holyrood yesterday that she’s putting her plans for another vote on hold, prompting our political traders to react.

We now make it 4/6 that indyref2 does not happen before 2021 and have decided that ‘No’ to independence is favourite to win the next vote, at 4/5, whenever that takes place.

Meanwhile, Ruth Davidson has become as short as 3/1 to succeed Sturgeon as First Minister, following the Scottish Tories’ impressive showing at the recent General Election.

Matthew Shaddick of Ladbrokes said: “It looks like the First Minister doesn’t fancy gambling on the Scots voting YES any time soon.”
