Milan shock favourites to sign Everton contract rebel this summer

AC Milan are the new shock favourites to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, according to the latest odds.
Contract rebel Barkley has long been linked with a move away from Goodison Park. Tottenham Hotspur were thought to be in pole position to strike a summer deal for the Toffees ace, but the Italian giants now head the market at 3/1.
Spurs are just behind Milan in the betting at 4/1, with Chelsea considered 7/1 shots for his signature.
Everton boss Ronald Koeman has made no secret of his desire to see Barkley head for pastures new should he not show his commitment to his club’s cause.
And this recent move is just the latest move in a transfer puzzle that looks like it could be coming to a head.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Out of nowhere it seems Barkley could be about to trade Merseyside for Milan. We know Tottenham have shown interest over the last few months, but with Daniel Levy hesitant to meet Everton’s asking price, the north Londoners now look set to miss out on their man.”
