Boris Johnson backed to be next Cabinet Minister to leave

Boris Johnson’s new vision for Brexit has failed to really strike a chord with our punters.

After revealing his own outlook for Britain’s departure from the EU – just before the Prime Minister’s speech on the subject in Florence – punters believe it’s actually done more harm than good.

And BoJo’s odds of being the next Minister to leave have been backed into 4/1 joint-favouritism (from 8/1).

Johnson’s chance of becoming the next permanent leader of the Conservatives remains untouched at 8/1 in the betting.

David Davis stays put as the 7/2 front runner, followed by Tory man of the moment Jacob Rees-Mogg with odds of 6/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Political punters are backing Boris, but their money’s going on him to be out of a job rather than entering No.10 thanks to his latest vision on Brexit.”
