Move over Marco Silva and Sean Dyche because there’s a new favourite in town for the Everton manager’s job.

RB Leipzig Sporting Director Ralf Rangnick has been installed as the new 6/4 favourite to replace Ronald Koeman.

The 59-year-old has come from nowhere to lead the betting ahead of long-term candidates Silva and David Unsworth at 5/2.

Blues Chairman Farhad Moshiri appears unlikely to be able to prize Silva away from Watford, while Unsworth is not fancied for the role on a permanent basis.

That leaves Rangnick, who has managed VfB Stuttgart, Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig amongst others, as the new favourite.

And we think his approach to the game would go down well at Goodison Park.

The veteran coach favours an attacking style and places an emphasis on youth – two qualities demanded by the Merseyside faithful.

At the other end of the spectrum, Louis Van Gaal is a 12/1 chance to return to management with the Toffees.

Everton are yet to make contact with the former Netherlands coach who has been out of work since leaving Manchester United in 2016.

He’s joined at 12/1 by Sean Dyche. The Burnley boss was initially backed into favouritism in the wake of Koeman’s sacking, but interest has since cooled on Clarets chief making the move to Goodison.

Carlo Ancelotti, Manuel Pellegrini and Martin O’Neill are three of the five contenders priced at 20/1.
