Man United lead PSG in chase for Bordeaux ace Malcom

Jose Mourinho thinks Manchester United haven’t spent enough money, but the Special One might be about to splash the cash once again.

United have long-been linked with Bordeaux star Malcom.

The 20-year-old Brazilian has shone for the Garonne outfit, bagging seven goals and four assists in Ligue 1 this season.

His performances haven’t gone unnoticed. And the latest reports claim Mourinho could make a move in January.

Any deal would likely cost around £33m.

United aren’t alone in their interest of the former Corinthians man, however.

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be courting the winger.

The Premier League outfit may hold the upper hand though, as it’s believed PSG are financially hamstrung for a while following their signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer.

Any deal for Malcom would likely signal the end for Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Old Trafford.

The Armenian shone last summer, but has fallen from favour this term after a bright start.

A return to Borussia Dortmund has been touted in the press.

Malcom is under contract at Bordeaux until 2021.

He’s been with the French outfit since January 2016, joining in a £4.5m deal from Corinthians.

And he’s made a big impression in less than 24 months in Europe, netting 18 goals from 76 appearances.
