The British Museum is the early favourite to display the Bayeux Tapestry, according to our traders.

French President Emmanuel Macron is expected to announce its loan to the UK on Thursday.

And it’s even money that it’s housed in the British Museum.

Westminster Abbey is 3/1 to host the embroidery. It’s a 5/1 chance that Canterbury Cathedral is given the honours.

The 70m-long artwork tells the story of William I’s conquest of England, which ended with the Battle of Hastings in 1066.
