Bond actor among New Year Honours List favourites

Daniel Craig is among the most popular picks for a knighthood, according to Ladbrokes.

In a recent survey carried out by Ladbrokes LIVE, it has been revealed that 12% of the British public would like to see the James Bond star knighted in King Charles III’s New Year Honours List.

That puts him third in the popularity charts, alongside David Beckham, and behind only Marcus Rashford (15%), while 10% of the public favour a knighthood for Louis Theroux.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes LIVE said: “The name could soon be Craig… Sir Daniel Craig, if the public get their way.”

Craig was the longest-serving 007, ending his 15-year stint with No Time To Die in 2021 and speculation has been rife ever since about his replacement.

We have all the runners and riders in our next James Bond odds piece and the latest prices to play one of the biggest box-office names in the business.
