Liverpool Evens for Real Madrid youngster; Tottenham also keen

Liverpool trousered a huge £142m from the sale of Philippe Coutinho. And the Reds could be set to spend some of that windfall on a replacement for the Brazilian – in the forms of Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos.

The Anfield club are just Evens to secure the services of the 21-year-old midfielder.

He’s featured 15 times for Los Blancos this term, and shown flashes of brilliance. But with just two league starts so far, it’s believed the youngster is keen to leave.

And while Liverpool are the favourites for his signature, they’re one of four English clubs believed to be interested.

Tottenham Hotspur are 3/1 to usurp the Reds and get their hands on the Spain Under-21 international this month.

Meanwhile, it’s 9/2 the midfielder joins Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, while Liverpool’s city rivals Everton are 8/1 to win the battle for Ceballos.

The player’s market value is placed at £15.3m by Transfermarkt.co.uk. But with several clubs sniffing around the youngster, this could become a bidding war.

Next up for Liverpool is the visit of Manchester City on Sunday. The hosts are 2/1 for victory at Anfield.

Could they get a boost before then, with the signing of a certain Spanish prodigy?
