Can Man City turn it around against Liverpool?

Manchester City don’t have any room for error against Liverpool tomorrow night. After losing 3-0 the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final, they’ve got it all to do.

City are 4/9 to win on the night. However, they’re only 4/1 to qualify for the semi-finals. Their failure to score an away goal at Anfield could haunt them.

Letting the lead slip in last weekend’s Manchester derby will have knocked their confidence too.

Task is clear

It’s going to be tough but Pep Guardiola’s side know exactly what they have to do.

If they win by more than three goals to nil, they win the tie. If Liverpool score, then they need to win by four clear goals on the night.

City to win with a -3.0 Handicap is 6/1. And City to Win to Nil is 11/5.

They won this fixture 5-0 in league action earlier this term. It’s 33/1 for them to repeat that scoreline here.

But City have collapsed under pressure from Liverpool and Manchester United in their last two games. It’s going to be hard to keep out the dynamic Reds attack for the whole game.

We go 1/2 for Both Sides to Score.

Time for attackers to stand up

If any side can claw back a three-goal deficit, it’s this City team. They’re packed with attacking talent. But after a season of dazzling displays, this is when they really need to show what they’re about.

Sergio Aguero is fit and 3/1 to open the scoring. Raheem Sterling should also start against his former side. The winger’s 23/20 to get on the scoresheet.

They’ll want to burst out of the blocks and score as quickly as possible. An early goal could cause some nerves amongst the Liverpool backline too. It’s 9/2 that the league leaders net in the opening 10 minutes.

It’s all set up for a thriller at the Etihad. If City can keep things tight at the back, they’ve got the firepower to complete one of the great European comebacks.
