Marseille v Atletico Madrid tips: Spaniards look good for Europa League

Atletico Madrid are bidding for a third Europa League crown tonight, as they face an Olympique Marseille side who’ve done well to make it this far.

The French side squeezed past Red Bull Salzburg after extra-time in their semi-final. But they’ve won just one of the last four games in all competitions. And they’re unlikely to have much joy against a side with La Liga’s best defensive record.

In the match betting, Atletico are 10/11 to grab victory in 90 minutes. Meanwhile, it’s 16/5 for a Marseille triumph, and 11/5 for the game to reach extra-time.

Meanwhile, the Madrid outfit are 3/10 to lift the trophy, whilst it’s 12/5 for l’OM to achieve the feat.

In the goalscorer markets, Antoine Griezmann could be the man to make the difference.

The French striker has scored 14 in his last 19 for Diego Simeone’s side – closing the scoring in five of those matches. He’s Evens to net Anytime, while the 27-year-old is 13/5 to be Last Goalscorer.

His teammate Diego Costa is 7/4 to register, having bagged the decisive semi-final goal against Arsenal.

If Marseille are to get anything, the in-form Florian Thauvin is the man most likely at 12/5 Anytime. Former West Ham United ace Dmitri Payet is also having a good campaign, and the pair could link up again to do Atletico some damage.

Simeone’s side tend to be strong starters, and have led at the 15-minute mark six times this term – including in Saturday’s 1-0 win at Getafe.
