Over half of all Premier League sack race bets favour Mourinho exit
Published:We can reveal that a whopping 52% of all bets on the Premier League sack race this season have supported Jose Mourinho being the next man out the door.
The Manchester United boss is joint-fourth in the Next Manager to Leave market, at odds of 14/1. But punters seem to believe the Portuguese gaffer could well be set for an imminent exit.
As it stands, Fulham’s Slavisa Jokanovic heads the market at 1/2, with the Cottagers rock-bottom of the league.
He’s followed by Mark Hughes at 2/1 and Roy Hodgson at 10s.
While the bets have been piling up on Mourinho, Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been the exact opposite.
Jose’s compatriot hasn’t seen a single penny staked on his exit, and the 44-year-old is now a hefty 66/1 to be the next Prem boss out the door.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “United have never looked further off the pace in the top four and while the odds suggest Jose’s safe for now, punters certainly beg to differ.”
