Spurred On: Andy Carroll 4/1 to make Tottenham switch this month

It could be all change in the capital, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly lining up a surprise grab for Andy Carroll.

With Harry Kane sidelined for the next few months, Mauricio Pochettino is shopping for a striker – and our traders make it 4/1 for the Spurs boss to snap up Carroll.

The Geordie beanpole has endured an injury-hit six years with the Hammers, but there’s no doubt he’s a real goal threat when he’s fit.

With Carroll’s contract ending this summer, he could also be available at a snip of the previous fees paid for him – including the infamous £35m which took him to Anfield.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Harry Kane’s injury may well hamper Spurs’ top four hopes but the odds suggest Carroll could be about to make a shock move across London.”
