Don’t stop me now! Rami Malek favourite for another award

The Oscars take place this weekend, and our traders have Rami Malek and Glenn Close to pick up the Best Actor and Actress awards respectively.
As things stand Roma is running away with things in the betting for Best Picture at 4/11, while the odds continue to be cut on Close (1/7) and Malek (1/7) winning Leading Actress and Leading Actor respectively.
Malek has been picking up plaudits for his portrayal of Queen front-man Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody since its October release.
A Star is Born may be a hefty 50/1 for Best Picture, but 1/33 says the Bradley Cooper-directed film wins Best Original Song for Shallow.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Award season is well underway and we’re expecting more of the same for Rami Malek with Glenn Close set to pip Olivia Colman to the Leading Actress post.”
