The weekend’s FA Cup tips: Fancy an upset in the cup?

The last-eight of the FA Cup begins this afternoon and this is the point of the competition where all the remaining sides begin to dream of a Wembley final.

But first they must navigate through the quarter-final stage, where Premier League giants Manchester City and Manchester United still lurk.

Swansea City, Millwall and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all looking to cause an FA Cup shock so stick around as we weigh up who could take one step closer to the final.

Watford v Crystal Palace (Saturday 12:15pm)

The last time these two sides met in the competition was for a place in the final back in 2016. That time Palace went on to win 2-1 with Connor Wickham notching a second-half winner.

We have an Eagles win at 2/1 and a repeat result comes in at 10/1.

Both sides to score in a Palace win is 24/5, with Watford progressing in similar fashion at 15/4.

Could the Hornets sting Roy Hodgson’s men again? The home side are 7/10 to qualify and make a hat-trick of wins over their opponents.

Swansea City v Manchester City (Saturday 5:20pm)

Man City are the 5/6 favourites to win the competition and sit pretty at 1/8 to get past Championship side Swansea.

The way City have been playing in recent months this could be a rout. Pep Guardiola and his lads are 4/6 to win to nil and 10/1 to be 3-0 in front by half-time.

Swansea can take heart from Wigan Athletic’s fifth-round home win over City last year. If they score first at 11/2 then it could get the Liberty Stadium rocking and put the away side on the back foot.

66/1 has the Swans to win 1-0 with both teams to get on the scoresheet and Over 2.5 Goals at 33/20.

Wolves v Man United (Saturday 7:55pm)

Manchester United are looking to take down the wolf pack when they meet Wolves tonight.

The two teams played out a 1-1 draw in the Premier League. Another draw that would send this one to extra-time is 11/5.

United have looked like a team reborn under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and are 6/5 to win in the match betting.

If the game does go to extra time then the Red Devils are 10/1 to qualify for the semi-finals.

The home side have been a dangerous outfit all season though, they are 23/10 to bag the win.

Raul Jimenez is 4/1 to score first, whilst Marcus Rashford is 21/10 to bag anytime for United.

Millwall v Brighton & Hove Albion (Sunday 2:00pm)

If Millwall win at 5/2 this will be the first time they will be in the semi-final of the cup since they reached the final in 2004.

The home side may be languishing near the foot of the Championship but they’ve already seen off Everton in the competition.

The Den can be an intimidating atmosphere for any side and one that could get more lively the longer the game goes on.

Millwall are 12/1 to win in extra-time and 10/1 to score victory in a penalty shoot-out.

Brighton’s wily boss Chris Hughton will have his side well-drilled though, with Glenn Murray to score anytime at 5/4.

The Sussex side are 23/20 to win the tie and 4/1 to triumph with both teams to score.
