Bristol Rovers to Bury opponents in 10/1 League Two acca

Published:

International football may be dominating the sporting agenda at present but there’s still plenty of domestic action this weekend, with another terrific League Two trio backed for big wins in England’s beloved fourth tier.

We’ve plumped for the threesome of Southend, Scunthorpe and Bristol Rovers to deliver victories with odds of over 10/1 available on these perfect picks.

Bristol Rovers to beat Bury @ 6/4

Despite their traditional slow start to the season the signs are that Rovers are starting to find their feet and are currently three games unbeaten in all competitions, with this run including a commendable victory away at high-flying Oxford.

Bury are two points off the relegation places after claiming just one victory from their last ten and a 3-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Torquay United suggests a similar result could be on the cards at the Memorial Ground.

The Shakers’ away form certainly backs that up with the Ronnie Jepson’s side losing four of their last five games away from Gigg Lane and with Rovers winning each of the previous three meetings between the pair, this has banker written all over it.

Scunthorpe to beat Accrington @ 7/10

Stanley may have finally returned to winning ways in League Two but last weekend’s 1-0 FA Cup loss to Tranmere could well have derailed any Accrington comeback.

A trip to Glanford Park could not have come at a worse time for James Beattie’s men with Scunthorpe in rude health, having won three of their last four home fixtures.

In total the Irons have lost just one of their last 17 league games played at Scunthorpe and given Accrington’s current league position and a record of one win from their last seven away games, home advantage may prove crucial.

Throw in the fact that Scunny beat Stanley 2-0 in their only previous meeting and the writing could be on the wall for Beattie & co. yet again.

Southend to beat Exeter @ 15/8

Southend represent one of the form teams in League Two at present and head to St James’ Park in fine fettle on the road, having won three of their last four away games in the division.

This string of results included victories against teams in the top seven, beating Oxford, Burton and Morecambe and they will have little to fear when they visit similarly high-flying Exeter.

The Grecians are hardly in the best of form either, having suffered defeat in each of their last three competitive games.

Meanwhile, their displays at home have left a lot to be desired with losses recorded in four of their last five fixtures, pointing to a potentially lucrative away win for the Shrimpers.
