BGT Update: Hopefuls STILL can’t get near Missing People’s Choir

Published:

It’s going to take something pretty spectacular for anyone other than the Missing People’s Choir to win this year’s Britain’s Got Talent as far as our traders are concerned.

The choir have headed the market since their first audition was aired, and while plenty have seen their odds slashed in the last few days – the long-time favourites are actually beginning to pull clear of the competition.

It’s now just 7/4 for Missing People Choir to go all the way this year – that’s shorter than they’ve ever been for BGT glory.

A solid performance from young magician, Issy Simpson, has seen her storm ahead of a whole host of acts, climbing from 11/1 to joint 5/1 second-favourite after she successfully booked her spot in this weekend’s final.

That puts her level in the running with Sarah Ikumu, who is yet to perform in her semi final. Of course, a strong performance from the singer could change everything at the head of the market.

Meanwhile, as for the other three acts to confirm their place in the final, Matt Edwards is still considered a 25/1 shot, while Golden Buzzer act, Kyle Tomlinson, is currently sixth in the betting at 10/1.

He’s behind the magic duo of DNA, who wowed both the audience and judges alike for the second time. At 7/1, they’re shorter than they’ve ever been to win the competition, while we’ve seen some interest in Tokio Myers over the last week or so. The pianist has seen his odds fall to 8/1 as a result.

Of course, plenty could change between now and the Finals Night, but as things stand the competition have it all to do if they’re to get near the Missing People Choir.
