Britain’s Got Talent: Addict Initiative top list of outsiders
Published:If you’re looking for a bit of value ahead of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent final then don’t be afraid to stick a few quid on dazzling dance group, The Addict Initiative.
At 50/1 with Ladbrokes you could perhaps be forgiven for thinking that the “refreshingly evil” outfit have absolutely no chance.
But as history has shown, BGT audiences and judges alike have always enjoyed a group who can shake things up a bit.
Here William Geldart assesses the chances of the Britain’s Got Talent outsiders (including wildcard Jon Clegg).

Why should I place my faith in this lot?
The ‘best dance group on BGT since Diversity’ (Simon Cowell’s words, not ours) have caught the eye with their quirky and lightning-quick routines. They were 150/1 earlier in the week, then 100/1 and now 50s – read into that what you like!
Verdict:
The likes of the aforementioned Diversity and last-year’s winners Attraction have highlighted the appeal of original dance groups, something that could propel The Addict Imitative into the top three.

Paddy and Nico – 40/1 to win Britain’s Got Talent
How much more have they got to give?
Evergreen 79-year-old salsa dancer Paddy made a remarkable recovery from injury to win the fifth semi-final with partner Nico. And you get the feeling there’s still plenty more life in this duo’s chances, despite reports of a rift between the pair.
Verdict:
It’ll be a tough ask but the fact remains this act screams ‘Royal Variety’ with that man again, Simon Cowell, labelling Paddy the “epitome of Great Britain”.
Lettice Rowbotham – 33/1 to win Britain’s Got Talent
Is she only here in the name of variety?
Excitable violinst Lettice Rowbotham received a mixed response to her semi-final routine and could have to rely on her personality, rather than performance, to attract votes.
Verdict:
Didn’t impress Simon in the semi-finals and had to rely on the public vote to reach this stage. Would have to pull out something pretty special to win the chance to perform in front of the Queen.
Jon Clegg -66/1 to win Britain’s Got Talent
Will the wildcard cause a shock?
Jon Clegg’s wildcard selection hasn’t come as much of a surprise with the 43-year-old tickling the nation’s belly with his impressions of a host of stars, including David Beckham and Paul O’Grady.
Verdict:
No wildcard act since its introduction to the show in series six has managed to break into the top three but Jon Clegg’s family-friendly (not to mention funny) routines could change all that.
Yanis, Arnaud and Mehdi – 200/1 to win Britain’s Got Talent
These guys have got absolutely no chance?
Parisian trio Yanis Marshall, Arnaud and Mehdi will once again don their high heels and provide plenty of glitz and glamour as they bid to go out on a high.
Verdict:
Probably a little too niche to have any real chance of impressing the royals but at least maximum entertainment is guaranteed.
