Celebrity Big Brother Betting Update: Where’s the money gone?

Ten celebrities remain under Big Brother’s watchful eye, with market leader James Cosmo and rank outsider Jamie O’Hara being priced at 6/4 and 50/1 respectively.

But with so much going on in between those two names, we’re taking a look at where the money has gone so far this year…

Most backed – Calum Best

Our traders might be missing a trick here, as we’ve priced Calum up at 12/1.

And we could well be kicking ourselves when the winner is eventually announced, as 16 per cent of ALL bets taken since the market opened have been placed on the reality TV show regular.

Though that may not seem like a lot, it’s worth noting that we’ve had bets placed on no less than 32 names this series.

And to put it into even more context, the next most popular celebrity with punters – Bianca Gascoigne – has received just 9.8 per cent of all bets.

Least backed – Kim Woodburn

Much of this has been to do with her late arrival, but Kim – as entertaining as she has been – is yet to strike a chord with our punters.

As a result, just 2.8 per cent of all bets placed so far this series have been on the television presenter.

Just behind her comes fellow newbie, Jessica Cunningham. But while the former Apprentice star has fewer bets to her name than Kim, she’s had more money placed on her than the star of How Clean is Your House?

Couples can’t be separated

They couldn’t be any more different, but punters just can’t seem to split Speidi and Jedward.

Remarkably, when looking at what’s been placed on these two pairs, just 5.44 per cent separates them in terms of amount of bets placed.

Speidi are just ahead of the Irish twins, and they’re leading the way in the market too at 6/1 to Jedward’s 8s.

Biggest Bet – James Cosmo

Of all the money staked on this year’s series, 16.8 per cent has gone on James Cosmo, including one £800 bet on the Game of Thrones star at 6/4.
