Ascot 2.45 – Amoola Gold

He won this race last year and Bridget Andrews will ride him again. He is in great health at home. Obviously the track and trip suit him and there is no reason to think he won’t go well again. He has got a higher mark to contend with, but he has the experience now.

Ascot 3.20 – Bennys King

Bennys King is very good around Ascot. I feel like in his advancing years he needs the odd run or two at the start of the season to blow the cobwebs away. A fast run race will really suit him. He is a horse who progresses as the season goes on. Once the ground gets slower, he is at his best.

Ascot 3.20 – Captain Chaos

Like Bennys King, Captain Chaos is very good around Ascot. Similarly to his stablemate, he also needs a run or two. We know he always improves. He has a nice low weight though, with Tristan taking seven pound off. I am not giving any guarantees for either of my horses in this race. As the season progresses, they come to the fore.

Musselburgh 2.38 – Marracudja

It’s a long way to go but it’s quite a nice little race for him. Two-and-a-half miles will suit him, the track won’t be an issue and he should go well. He won last time, albeit it was probably a bit of a non-event. We are very happy with him and we have to give this a go.

Wetherby 1.55 – Molly Ollys Wishes

Two miles is very short for her but she has plenty of ability. She stays well and this will get her season off to a start. There are some speedy mares in this race with the likes of Miranda and so on, so I am very aware of that. It will be difficult but it is a good race to get her started.

Wetherby 2.30 – Proschema

This is a race I have had in mind for him since he ran nicely in the Silver Trophy. I have to say this race has shaped up to be much stronger than I thought it would be. I am looking forward to him taking on three miles for the first time though and I think he will run well. I think he will outrun his handicap mark.

Wetherby 3.05 – Shan Blue

The Charlie Hall Chase is a race we have had in mind for a long time now. We have to take on good horses including Cyrname but we just concentrate on our own horse. He is as well we can have him, he is great around the track, the ground will be fine and the trip is perfect. There is a lot to like about him but this is a big step up for him facing the big boys. It will tell us what we are going to do for the rest of the year but I am very excited to run him.

Wetherby 4.15 – Hidden Heroics

He is a nice horse who has won an Irish point-to-point and we like him a lot. He was a non-runner in a Grade 2 at the start of the month. We have waited for some rain and I do expect him to go well here.

Wetherby 4.50 – Soyouthinksoagain

He has a run under his belt. This track will suit him much better than Newton Abbott and I would expect him to go well.
