LASK v Man Utd Betting Tips: Can United keep their good run going?

Odion Ighalo

A resurgent Manchester Unitedface Austrian Bundesliga leaders LASK in Europa League action tonight. Withfour wins from their last five outings, can United keep their momentum going?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side comeinto this on the back of an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City. But withfierce competition for the top four, the Europa League may be their best chanceof securing Champions League football for next season.

They’re 7/2 favourites to lift the trophy, but can they take a first-leg lead back to Old Trafford? We’ve previewed the match right here.

Match Odds

United’s recent form sees them at 10/11 to win on the night. They can’t afford to be complacent though. LASK have only lost one of their last 11 games.

And the Austrian side have a spotless record at home in Europe this term, including a 4-1 win over PSV and a 3-0 victory over Sporting. But as this is being played in front of a limited crowd, will that be a disadvantage for the hosts? Our traders have them at 13/4, with 9/4 for the draw.

One of the reasons for United’s improved form is their stability at the back. They’ve only conceded twice in their last 10 games. There’s 15/8 about a United win to nil.

Talking Tactics

With a huge game against Tottenham Hotspur coming up,Solskjaer is likely to make a few changes.

Odion Ighalo should come in up front, while Juan Mata and Mason Greenwood could also start. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot haven’t travelled, which means the fit-again Axel Tuanzebe is set to feature at right-back.

LASK will need to reshuffle in the centre of defence, withPetar Filipovic and Philipp Wiesinger both suspended. Valerien Ismael is likelyto turn to Christian Ramsebner and Markus Wostry as a result.

With a weakened backline, LASK may look to crowd themidfield for extra protection. If that’s the case, United will look to BrunoFernandes to find a way through. The playmaker has already added anotherdimension to his new team’s play – he could be the key man here.

Goalscorer Odds

Ighalo is 16/5 to open the scoring, or 11/8 to net at any point. We go 3/2 that Greenwood finds the back of the net too.

Fernandes has already scored against LASK this season as a Sporting player. He’s 15/8 to net again this time.

Linz will be looking to Joao Klauss to trouble theUnited backline. He’s 14/5 to grab a goal, with Husein Balic theirnext likeliest scorer at 3/1.
