Ligue 1 betting tips and odds

Ligue 1 leaders PSG dropped points for only the second time this season last weekend when they managed to hold on for a draw against Marseille despite the dismissal of wing-back Achraf Hakimi with more than half an hour remaining.

Their lead has now been cut to seven points by Lens, who are in action on Saturday night, 24 hours after PSG host champions Lille.

We have three Ligue 1 betting tips from Sunday’s games, starting with the clash between Brest and Monaco who are 4/5 favourites.

Brest v Monaco

Monaco got back on track with a 3-1 victory over Montpellier last weekend which was the fourth game in five they had scored exactly three goals.

Niko Kovac’s side are 12/5 to score at least three times against a team that have failed to win any of their 11 games this season.

Interestingly, Stade Brest have scored and conceded in every match so we go 7/10 on a 12th game with goals at both ends while eighth-placed Monaco to win and both teams to score is priced at 5/2 in our Ligue 1 betting tips.

Brest have drawn six times, though, all of which ended 1-1 which can be backed at 11/2 while a draw and goals at both ends is 7/2.

Bordeaux v Reims

This bottom-five battle sees Bordeaux as 29/20 favourites to win only their second game of the season, with Reims priced at 2/1.

Calling a winner looks tough to call but Bordeaux figure prominently in the both teams to score table with eight of their 11 matches obliging, so 10/11 on that outcome looks a possibility.

Four of Bordeaux’s last five matches ended in score draws which can be backed at 13/4 and with three of those games finishing 1-1 we go 19/4 on that outcome.

Strasbourg v Lorient

Lorient are just above Strasbourg in the bottom half of the table but the hosts are 20/23 favourites to win on Sunday having won three of their last six games, including a 5-1 drubbing of basement-boys St Etienne.

Lorient, though, have drawn a joint Ligue 1-high six games this term which can be backed at 12/5 while goals with that outcome is available at 17/5. A goal in both halves and the match to be drawn is 11/2.

Strasbourg were leading at the break and failed to win in both of last season’s meetings with Lorient, an option which is 10/1 in our Ligue 1 betting tips.

These sides are in the top seven for goals at both ends, which was also the case in both of last season’s encounters, so we go 3/4 on both teams to score.
