Norwich v Wolves betting tips and odds

Dean Smith could not have asked for a better start than last weekend’s victory in his first game in charge of Norwich which lifted them off the foot of the table.

The Canaries’ 2-1 win against Southampton made it back-to-back successes and they are priced at 5/2 for a hat-trick when Wolves visit Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.

Bruno Lage’s side are flying high in sixth and 6/5 for a sixth win in eight outings as we look at some of the other options in our Norwich v Wolves betting tips.

Match Odds

City have won their last two matches 2-1 and can be backed at 12/1 to win by that scoreline for a third successive time.

Norwich actually lost 2-1 at home to Leeds a week before they ended their winless start to the season, so we go 7/4 on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals as one of our Norwich v Wolves betting tips

However, in our #GetAPrice section, both teams to score, over 2.5 goals and either team to win is slightly higher at 2/1.

Norwich have scored their first goal inside the first 10 minutes in their previous two games and yet they are 11/1 to bag their opener during that spell again.

Wolves, though, are creatures of habit and there have been just two goals in the first half in all six of their away games, so an even opening 45 minutes is priced at 10/11 and 0-0 is 27/20.

With that in mind, Draw HT/Wolves FT is 4/1, while the visitors simply to win the second half is 19/10.

Talking Tactics

Smith called on supporters to transform Carrow Road into a fortress after the win against Saints and his decision to recall Todd Cantwell and Billy Gilnour certainly proved popular with fans.

Cantwell started on the left to support Teemu Pukki in attack in a 4-3-3 formation in which Gilmour played on the right side of midfield.

Lage stuck with a 3-4-2-1 for Saturday’s 1-0 win in which Daniel Podence excelled in only his second Premier League start of the season.

Raul Jimenez is expected to lead the line in front of Podence and Hwang Hee-chan, with Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho in the heart of midfield.

Goalscorer Odds

Pukki has rediscovered his scoring boots with goals in both of his last two games and the Finnish striker is 4/1 to break the deadlock and 15/8 to find the net.

Cantwell looks interesting at 9/1 and 4/1 in the two options, although Mathias Normann is even bigger at 16/1 and 6/1 having ended his drought at Brentford.

Centre-back Grant Hanley scored his first Premier League goal in 10 years last weekend and is 18/1 to repeat the trick.

Jimenez holds the edge form the Wolves contingent at 4/1 having scored the only goal against the Hammers and the Mexico striker is 15/8 to score any time, the same price as Hwang.

Podence looked dangerous in that game and is 8/1 and 7/2 in the two markets as the last of our Norwich v Wolves betting tips.
