Man City edge Inter Milan as favourites to sign Lionel Messi
Rumours continue to abound over the future of Lionel Messi with Manchester City still rated as the favourites to secure his signature, according to our odds.
The Barcelona ace’s current contract will expire at the end of the 2021 season and our traders reckon it’s a 3/1 chance he reunites with old boss Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
Inter Milan also appear interested in a move for the Argentine, although odds of 5/1 suggest it’s City who remain the driving seat.
Elsewhere, Paris-Saint Germain also have the financial clout to make a move for the 32-year-old and are available at 5/1, while Bayern Munich are seen as outsiders at 16/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Plenty seem to think this could be Messi’s last season at Barca and as things stand it’s Man City who lead the way for his signature.”
