Spurs v Everton Betting Tips: Honours even in North London tonight?

Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti may have five Champions League medals between them, but it’s a Europa League place they’re both chasing this season as Spurs host Everton in Monday Night Football.

The two managers – and their clubs – are currently separated by just a single point in the Premier League table, with victory for either tonight providing a real opportunity to qualify for Europe next term.

Match Odds

Tottenham and Everton are two clubs who often draw comparisons in terms of size and achievement, so you may be surprised to learn Spurs are something of a bogey team for the Toffees.

Everton are winless against tonight’s opponents in their last 14 matches and haven’t tasted victory in North London since Vedran Corluka’s own-goal gave them a 1-0 success in 2008.

Spurs are 11/10 to extend that run and pick up all three points while the visitors, who are unbeaten since the restart, are 5/2 to record a third straight victory.

Both sides do look evenly matched, however, and with five of the last nine meetings between the pair ending level, our traders go 23/10 about the Draw. You can back a 1-1 stalemate at 5/1.

Talking Tactics

Providing Jose Mourinho hasn’t fallen out with anyone else over the weekend, the Tottenham manager has no fresh concerns to worry about ahead of this one.

He could still opt to change things up after last week’s defeat to Sheffield United, with Dele Alli, Giovanni Lo Celso and Harry Winks all potential returnees. Jan Vertonghen and Tanguy Ndombele may also be in line for recalls.

The visitors may opt to stick with the same side that beat Leicester last week, which would mean another start for impressive youngster Anthony Gordon out on the left.

Richarlison is expected to pass a late fitness test to start up-front alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, while Bernard and Tom Davies are among those pushing for recalls.

Goalscorer odds

Jordan Pickford must be sick of the sight of Harry Kane. The goalkeeper’s England teammate has netted a double against Everton in four of his last six fixtures against them.

He’s 13/2 for a brace tonight, with 10/3 on offer for him to score first. Dele Alli is another who likes to make things sticky for the Toffees, and he’s 23/10 to find the net anytime.

The visitors have been sharing the goals around since the restart with Michael Keane, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Richarlison all on the scoresheet. The latter of those is 23/10 to make it two in two.

Tottenham have struggled with low crosses since the restart, and with Dominic Calvert-Lewin showing plenty of poacher-like instincts this term, he could also find the target at 13/8.
