Blues hot favourites in Raheem Sterling transfer odds

Raheem Sterling is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Manchester City amid speculation the 27-year-old forward could leave the club this summer.

Sterling has scored 91 goals in 225 league appearances and helped deliver four Premier League titles since joining City seven years ago, but his time could be up at the Etihad.

Chelsea lead the way at 4/7 in the Raheem Sterling transfer odds as we look at the clubs in the running to land the England international.

Chelsea

The Blues are a club in transition with a new club owner Todd Boehly and several players leaving Stamford Bridge such as Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Romelu Lukaku.

Although defenders would seem a priority, Chelsea will need to bolster their front line if they are to defy Premier League title odds of 16/1.

Sterling scored 13 goals last season, but was often on the bench and with Erling Haaland set to take the centre-forward role next season and Julian Alavrez also added to the squad, the guarantee of more game time may persuade him to return to London.

Reports suggest City have rejected a £35million offer for Sterling and are thought to want £50m for a player at the peak of his powers.

Real Madrid

The Spanish champions are still seething from the U-turn performed by Kylian Mbappe, who was persuaded by a lucrative three-year contract and a phone call from French president Emmanuel Macron to stay in Paris.

Los Blancos were crowned European champions for a 14th time in May, but with Barcelona seemingly winning the race to land Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, they will want to bring a Galactico to the Bernabeu to ensure they keep their arch rivals at arms’ length.

The player has admitted he would “love to play abroad” in the future in order to test himself, so what better challenge than one of the biggest clubs on the planet?

Spanish media claimed earlier this month that Real Madrid had been offered the City star for £60m and they are 8/1 in the Raheem Sterling transfer odds to accept and bring him to the Bernabeu, like Rudiger.

Barcelona

Barca have more pressing matters on the transfer front as they look to bring in Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, but the Bundesliga giants have not given up hope of keeping the Poland skipper, who is entering the final year of his contract and wants to leave.

Should that move not materialise, Barca could do a lot worse than bring in Sterling bearing in mind they already have three high-profile strikers at the club; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ferran Torres and Memphis Depay.

City would prefer to sell one of their prized assets to a foreign club than a Premier League rival, but Barcelona are a distant 10/1 in the Raheem Sterling transfer odds to prise him from the Premier League champions.

Tottenham

Tottenham have been active in the transfer market, with Yves Bissouma and Ivan Perisic expected to be joined by several new faces in the coming months.

Antonio Conte was reportedly handed a £150m transfer kitty to bolster his squad and the addition of Sterling, priced at 20/1, would represent a significant improvement.

Bayern Munich

Munich’s transfer business may depend on the success or otherwise of their bid to keep Lewandowski at the Allianz Arena, but if they fail a move for Sterling is certainly possible.

Sterling was viewed as a target for Bayern at the end of May and they will be keen to see how contract negotiations with City go before potentially making a move, which is available at 20/1.
