Saturday 9th May: What sport is on?

Saturday sees a packed day of sport with football from across the world including Belarus, South Korea and the Faroe Islands.

There’s also horse racing, darts, esports and the return of UFC.


Football is starting to pick up this weekend with two games in the Belarusian Premier League including Slavia Mozyr at 31/20 to beat second place Torpedo-Belaz (13/8).

The K League continues its opening round of fixtures with three games including Incheon United (21/10) facing Daegu (6/5) at 08:30.

You can find a double header of matches in the Turkmenistan Yokary Liga, and five games from the first gameweek of the Faroese Premier League including reigning champions KI Klaksvik up against B36 Torshavn.

Horse Racing

Australia dominates the early morning racing with eleven meetings, including cards at Randwick, Moree and Morphettville.

The US racing gets going from 01:21 fromRemington Parkand there’s evening meetings at Gulfstream Park from 17:45 and Tampa Bay Downs from 17:30.

Elsewhere you can find meets at Tokyo from 02:15 and a late afternoon start at Solanget.

UFC 249

Ok, ok. UFC 249 technically gets going in the early hours of Sunday morning. But we didn’t want to miss the return of elite MMA.

Tony Ferguson goes in as the 8/15 favourite to defeat Justin Gaethje (3/2) in the main event, as he sets his sights on finally doing battle with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

There’s four other fights on the main card including Henry Cejudo (4/9) defending his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz.


The Modus Icons of Darts continues with another six players at the oche. We start at 10:30 with Arron Monk at10/11to beat the 4/5 shot Wessel Nijman.

This is followed by Jason Askew (8/11) taking on the Evens priced Andy Jenkins.

Michael Warburton gets his day underway against Askew from 13:10.

While the evening’s action comes from the PDC Home Tour. There’s six ties starting at 19:30 with Kyle Anderson v Daniel Larsson and ending with Anderson taking on Dirk van Duijvenbode from 22:00.


From 15:00 Team Secret are1/5 on to beat Natus Vincere in the DOTA WePlay! Pushka League.

There’s a number of ‘first to three’ Overwatch League games including Shanghai Dragons (1/5) against the 7/2 Seoul Dynasty.Guangzhou Charge are also in action as they take on New York Excelsior (1/6).

Plus there’s loads more action with CS:GO, Call of Duty and League of Legends European Masters.


The racing kicks off with the third round of Formula E Race at Home Challenge. The early rounds have been dominated by Max Gunther who’s looking to make it three wins from three.

But he’ll be wary of Stoffel Vandoorne who qualified on pole in both races so far.

At 17:00, The Race All Star Cup gets into gear and could feature four-time F1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel.

Charles Leclerc gets behind the wheel from 20:00 at the Veloce Esports Not The GP series taking on the iconic virtual Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
