Denmark v England Betting Tips: Raheem Sterling to shine for Three Lions?

Gareth Southgate England manager

England will be hoping to make it back-to-back victories in the Nations League when they travel to Copenhagen to take on Denmark, who’ll be looking for a response after their defeat to Belgium.

Gareth Southgate’s side were nowhere near their best against Iceland but managed to secure all three points with a late Raheem Sterling penalty. The Manchester City forward will be keen to maintain his good international form on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, Denmark will have plenty of familiar faces in their line-up with the likes of Kasper Schmeichel, Andreas Christiansen, Christian Eriksen and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg all expected to feature for the Danes.

The action kicks off at 19:45pm on Sky Sports at Parken Stadium in Copenhagen and we’ve got all the pre-match odds and build up right here….

Match Odds

The Three Lions start the match as 21/20 favourites to win the tie with Denmark priced at 27/10. A draw is 11/5.

England have won their last two meetings with Denmark in all competitions, most recently in 2014, and are looking to keep a clean sheet in five consecutive competitive fixtures for the first time since March 2017.

Before Denmark’s defeat to Belgium, they had gone 15 games unbeaten, can they bounce back against England? Both teams to score is 20/23 with over 2.5 match goals 11/10.

England to win to nil is 23/10 with Denmark 19/4 to win without conceding a goal in Copenhagen.

Talking tactics

Denmark have no fresh injury news and Kasper Hjulmand could stick with the same starting XI that lost to Belgium, though Andreas Cornelius and Zanka are among several stars hoping to feature for the Danes on Tuesday night.

Southgate is expected to ring the changes for England to bring some fresh impetus to the side. Trent Alexander-Arnold may replace the suspended Kyle Walker with an expected debut for Conor Coady as part of a back three defensive line.

Sterling scored the winner against Iceland and with Manchester City not playing this weekend, he’ll will be desperate to play the full 90 minutes in Denmark and should start.

Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood also give Southgate a selection headache and will be absent from the game. Danny Ings is expected to be handed his first start in an England shirt. Jack Grealish has a knock but could still feature.

Goalscorer Odds

Sterling has now been involved in seventeen goals during his last twelve games for his country, scoring eleven times and making six assists. He is 2/1 to score anytime for England.

Harry Kane looked sluggish on Saturday but he’s still been involved in fifteen goals in his last seven games for England. He is 7/2 to score first. Danny Ings is 9/5 to score anytime.

For Denmark, forward Andreas Cornelius is 3/1 to find the net during the 90 minutes with in-form Dolberg 7/1 to break the deadlock.
