Grand National odds: Willie Mullins 5/2 to train 2024 winner

Published:

The latest 2024 Grand National odds have Willie Mullins 5/2 to train the winner of the race this weekend, with the Closutton trainer responsible for eight horses in the top 34.

Mullins’ leading hope is said to be I Am Maximus, who is second favourite at the time of writing at 8/1. Last year’s runner up is Mr Incredible, who is at 12/1 this year.

Corach Rambler leads the betting at 11/2, with Vanillier (9/1) and Meetingofthewaters (9/1) also among the front-runners for the Grand National.

Ladbrokes is of the belief that punters will latch onto the likes of Kitty’s Light (14/1) or even Harry Redknapp’s Shakem Up’arry (40/1) if they get in.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “We fully expect to see lots of support for any Willie Mullins Grand National entry and should he land the race for a second time, it would come as no surprise.

Corach Rambler is likely to be a popular favourite but horses we expect the public to latch on to include Kitty’s Light and Shakem Up’arry.”

How to watch 2024 Grand National

UK fans can watch the Grand National this year on ITV, as has been the case since 2017. Before that horse racing fanatics had to watch on Channel 4 from 2013, and on the BBC from when the race first started being broadcast in 1960. Of course, Racing TV will also be broadcasting the race.

Ed Chamberlin, known to football fans for his prior work on Sky Sports Football will be ITV’s host for the Grand National this year, just as he did for Cheltenham Festival last month.
