The Morning’s Astrologer Hagan Fox backs Rachael Blackmore for Grand National success with Ladbrokes, and also tips Vanillier.

Is the Grand National winner in your stars? According to Ladbrokes it could be. The leading bookmaker joined forces with astrologer Hagan Fox who regularly features on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ to investigate how the stars might help you pick a winner at Aintree this Saturday.

Hagan was provided with the dates of birth for horses, jockeys and trainers and created a natal chart for 4pm on April 13th, the time of the Grand National.

Hagan is tipping Rachael Blackmore for success: “In Chinese astrology horses have Yang energy and what the horse really wants is feminine Yang energy. We know how sensitive horses are and they have a greater connection with women jockeys and trainers. Rachael Blackmore has the perfect combination. Her star sign is Cancer which is the most intuitive in Western astrology , and she is also a snake in Chinese astrology and this means she mentally strong. She has everything you need to be a successful jockey. Her mount Minella Indo is also one of the horses that made my shortlist. The reason for that is because he is in the same numerical three year which is the luckiest year of the nine year cycle and the same as last year’s winner Corach Rambler.”

Of trainer Venetia Williams Hagan said: “Trainer Venetia Williams is in a fantastic Chinese year. She was born on the 10th May 1960 and this makes her a Metal Rat. She runs Chambard and he would be my outside shout.”

Hagan also determined that Mars and number nine were prominent and may influence the outcome of the race and is also tipping Vanillier for success: “Vanillier is the horse that stands out the most. It breaks down into nine letters and on top of everything else he is an Aries, which is ruled by Mars. The power of Mars is very strong at the moment. We are in April, which is Mars’ season. Mars is also represented by the number nine.”

Nicola McGeady, Head of PR at Ladbrokes comments, “The Grand National is a race where form can go out the window so we decided to reach out to astrologer Hagan Fox to help us pick a winner. Among his picks include Vanillier and the mount of Rachael Blackmore, Minella Indo, both who are expected to be very popular on the day. Fingers crossed Hagan’s right and the stars align.”
