I have two rides on Thursday, the first is on Energumene (18:35) in the Ryanair Novice Chase.

It was bitterly disappointing that he wasn’t able to get to Cheltenham but I am delighted to get another chance to sit on him before the season is out.

We were really looking forward to taking on Shishkin but unfortunately didn’t get there. I am sure they will meet somewhere. At the time I didn’t think I’d get to ride him again this season so it’s great that Willie [Mullins] has got him ready for Punchestown

He hasn’t put a foot wrong in his races. He looks the horse to beat in this. Janidil was very impressive in Fairyhouse but this will be a big step up for him.

Captain Guinness ran a cracker in Cheltenham but we’ve beaten him. Hopefully Energumene can continue his winning ways.

I am riding Gauloise (19:05) again in the Mares’ Novice Hurdle. The drop back to two miles doesn’t look ideal on her form but only Skyace was too good for her in Fairyhouse the last day and this looks a nice opportunity.

I thought Magic Daze ran an absolute belter of a race being as free as she was in Cheltenham and she’ll take a good deal of beating, while the drier ground will suit Hook Up.

You can make a case for plenty. I am sticking with the one I know. I’ve liked Gauloise all season and stuck by her so I am going to try again.
