Idris Elba 10/1 to play James Bond next

Idris Elba could be the man to replace Daniel Craig as the next James Bond, according to our traders.

We make Elba just a 10/1 shot in the betting to play 007 next, with rumours suggesting a Luther movie could be on the cards.

Daniel Craig is set to step aside after his fifth and final secret agent assignment in ‘No Time To Die’ However, that has not stopped people talking over who will replace him.

The Luther star has been in the running for some time and speculation is mounting that he could get the nod as the next Bond.

James Norton (2/1) and Sam Heughan (3/1) remain the favourites ahead of the likes of Tom Hiddleston at 5/1 and Tom Hardy at 8/1.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Idris Elba has been there or thereabout at the head of the Bond betting in the last few years and we’re not yet ruling him out for the role.”
