Oleksandr Usyk puts his heavyweight titles on the line against Britain’s Daniel Dubois on Saturday night, one year after beating Anthony Joshua for the second time. Irish boxer Jason Quigley spoke exclusively to Ladbrokes about the fight in Wroclaw, Poland.

I can only see one winner between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. Ukrainian boxer Usyk is a level or two above his British opponent. I think Usyk’s footwork, hand movement and ring IQ is way above that of Dubois’. I think Usyk will win this fight very comfortably by a points decision. I can’t see a knockout here.

The only way I can see a knockout is if Dubois lands. However, Usyk’s chin has never failed him before. He has never looked overly hurt or wobbled in a fight. I believe that the only hope Dubois has of winning is by knockout. He has 19 wins, and 18 of them have come by knockout so he is a big puncher. That can be a downfall for him because he doesn’t go the full distance in his fights.

He has also changed his trainer from Shane McGuigan, who would have got the best out of him. That is another minus beside his name. Usyk is very controlled, very smooth, takes his time, and doesn’t get overexcited in the fight.

Usyk should win this fight by a unanimous points decision at odds of 5/2. If Dubois does win, it can only be by knockout which is 8/1, but I can’t see that happening.
