Ladbrokes best price on four of the five Masters favourites
Published:Punters wanting to place some last-minute bets on some of the favourites for the Masters are advised to do so with Ladbrokes, who are offering top prices on many of the leading contenders.
The fantastic four in question are Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rory McIlroy and Adam Scott, while further down the Masters betting, US pair Brandt Snedeker and Bill Haas are best prices with Ladbrokes.
Woods is the 4/1 favourite and although he is without an Augusta victory since 2005, 15 top-25 finishes in 16 Masters starts shows how he has to be feared at the course. Some 10 of these years also brought top-10 finishes.
With his putting back on song and three victories already to his name in 2013, Woods enters this year as the clear one to beat.
Mickelson and McIlroy both come next in the betting at 12/1, with the former almost always in the mix at the Masters and is already a three-time winner.
McIlroy showed something like his old form when second at the Valero Texas Open and will have redemption on his mind after blowing a great chance to lead from start to finish in this major in 2011.
Augusta seems to hold a curse over the Australian entrants as the country still waits for its first ever Green Jacket wearer.
Scott came as close as anyone when holding the lead during the final round of the Masters in 2011 before finishing in a share of second.
He is the highest-ranked Australian this time and can be backed at 25/1.
Of the pair further down the betting, Snedeker must be considered a danger at 40/1 if he can whip his high-class putting game into shape, while five top-10 finishes in nine PGA Tour starts this season certainly gives Haas each-way appeal at worst at 66/1.
