Lah Ti Dar is the new favourite for the Epsom Oaks after her impressive 1l success in the Pretty Polly Stakes.

John Gosden’s charge left her rivals trailing in the 1m2f Listed event at Newmarket to earn a quote of 7/2 (from 6/1) for the Oaks.

The trainer has won the Classic twice in the last four years with Taghrooda (2014) and Enable (2017).

Happily is the biggest danger to the jolly for Aidan O’Brien, who is bidding for a seventh success in the renewal.

The three-year-old was beaten into third by 66/1 shot Billesdon Brook in the 1000 Guineas at the weekend.

She’ll be eager to bounce back with victory over the 1m4f distance at 5/1.

O’Brien also saddles September (7/1), who has been beaten in all four previous starts in Group company.

Wild Illusion comes next at 10/1 for Charlie Appleby.

The daughter of Dubawi also finished behind Billesdon Brook at Newmarket but has won at black-type level before – cleaning up in the Prix Marcel Boussac last October.

Cheveley Park Stakes winner Clemmie follows at 16/1. She’s joined by daughter of Frankel and fellow 16/1 shot Contingent.

Magical, Highgarden and Flattering round out the sub-20/1 contenders.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “After a disappointing performance by many of the front-runners in the 1000 Guineas, Pretty Polly Stakes winner Lah Ti Dar has jumped to the head of the Oaks betting.”
