As the winter days start to draw closer, the league tables are starting to paint a more realistic picture and the time is right to bet on League Two, one of the most competitive leagues in Europe.

With a high turnover of teams in the division – six newbies are competing this term – League Two betting is a challenging thing to do.

But there are indicators as to who should do well.

Torquay were the favourites to win League Two at 5/1 after an inspired start, but eleven games without a victory has resulted in them slipping to 20/1.

Gillingham have League two betting odds of 40/1 to bounce straight back from relegation by topping the division, while last year’s play-off final losers Rotherham have League Two odds of 11/1.

You can get more League Two prices closer to the top of the League Two betting market with Wycombe at 7/1 and Shrewsbury 6/1 to come out of the 24-team league on top.

Football betting makes games all that more exciting and can get you rooting for teams you would otherwise despise.

Another way to do some League Two betting is to back a team to win the division each way.

That means that if the team you bet on finishes in the top three, you get a quarter of the odds.

If you want to bet on League Two like this, it would be worth going for a team with lengthier League Two odds.

Bradford were original favourites for the title and now have League Two betting odds of 28/1 to win the division after resurrecting a very poor start which saw them priced at 66/1 to win at one point.

Port Vale are three points adrift of leaders Chesterfield and both sides are 7/2 and 3/1 respectively to win the title.

More League Two prices include third placed Bury at 6/1 and Burton Albion at 40/1.
