Maddison’s last-gasp stunner wins Ladbrokes Goal of the Week
Published:James Maddison’s sensational last-minute free-kick winner for Aberdeen at home to Rangers last weekend has been named the Ladbrokes Goal of the Week.
The Dons midfielder – on-loan from Norwich – hit a sublime set-piece beyond the outstretched Wes Foderingham, to seal a dramatic win in the dying moments.
And along with winning three points, Maddison’s goal has also won our Goal of the Week award.
The 19-year-old claimed almost half of more than 5,000 votes, seeing off Souleymane Coulibaly‘s ridonkulous hit for Kilmarnock against Celtic.
Third place went to Ryan Hardie and his left-foot ping for St Mirren, with Scott Roberts in fourth for his delightful drive for Raith in their 3-2 win over Dumbarton.
