Marc Ó Sé previews round four in National Football League Division One

Ladbrokes ambassador Marc Ó Sé discusses the weekend matches from round four of the National Football League Division One.
Both Kerry and Armagh are in dangerous territory now after losing last weekend. Jack O’Connor will be very disappointed in the manner that Kerry lost against Mayo. They looked completely flat in the first half, and it wasn’t until the introduction of Seanie O’Shea and David Clifford that we saw improvement from Kerry who will be looking for a home win here. Expect a few team changes and also a better performance.

I think there will also be a huge kick in the performance of Armagh. Kieran Donaghy will know all these Kerry players and I’d expect them to get their match-ups bang on, with Jason Duffy and Jarlath Óg Burns doing really well last weekend.
If Kerry perform like they did last time out, I expect Armagh to win. However, I believe they will come out all guns blazing. Kerry for the win.
Tyrone have been very disappointing this season and face a really difficult game against a Mayo team with plenty of momentum. Coming off the back of a great victory against Kerry, Mayo will now be looking to reach six points after this weekend.
The performances of Aidan O’Shea, James Carr, Ryan O’Donoghue, and in particular Jordan Flynn, point to a home victory. I genuinely cannot see real leaders in this Tyrone team and I expect Mayo will win this at 1/2.
It was the second half that stood out for the Rossies last weekend, where Armagh only managed to score four points against them. Enda Smith was outstanding throughout, and I have noticed a real competitive edge from them this season. Davy Burke is getting a real tune out of these Roscommon footballers and spirits are high in the county.
They will go to Clones full of confidence and take on a Monaghan team who got their first win last weekend. Jack McCarron scored seven points for Vinny Corey’s men and with Conor McManus seeing game time, things seem to be looking up for Monaghan. That said I still see Roscommon just edging this one out at even money.
Donegal’s two main forwards from last year Paddy McBrearty and Michael Murphy will miss this match and it’s hard to see where the scores will come from.

Galway on the other hand were very impressive against Tyrone, especially against the wind where Sean Kelly, Paul Conroy, Cillian McDaid and Jack Glynn did very well, although it was Matthew Tierney who really stood out for me. He was the one who won the dirty ball when Galway needed to dig deep. That, coupled with the fact that Donegal’s only victory so far this year was in Ballybofey against a very weakened Kerry team, signals a Galway victory for me.
