Rhododendron now odds-on to land Oaks success at Epsom
Published:
Our odds compilers are reporting one-way traffic for leading Oaks fancy Rhododendron with the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly now odds-on for Classic success this Friday.
We’ve been forced to cut her into 10/11 from 11/10 this morning with punters continuing to pile in ahead of the off.
Ballydoyle’s big hope finished second behind the stable’s English-Irish Guineas heroine Winter last time out but she’s clearly well-fancied to oblige when stepped up to 1m 4f in Surrey.
With regards to the colts, Permian is the most popular horse in the Derby at 10/1 with more of you eyeing up the enticing price about the Dante Stakes hero.
Cracksman and Dee Stakes winner Cliffs Of Moher remain joint-favourites at 7/2 apiece.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Non-runner No Bet has really encouraged a surge of Derby bets and the one horse we keep saying lots of support for is Permian.
“At the head of the betting Cracksman and Cliffs Of Moher share favouritism, but if and when Ryan Moore confirms he will ride Cliffs Of Moher, we expect him to shorten up as sole favourite.”
