Monday Night Football returns with a Premier League double header. Aston Villa and Sheffield United meet for the first time since the controversy at Villa Park during Project Restart. Following that, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City get their campaign up and running as they travel to Molineux to take on Wolves.

Throughout the day Horse Racing comes from Warwick, Leicester and Hamilton in the UK along with two meetings in Ireland from Listowel and Fairyhouse.

Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore go head-to-head as the IPL continues in the UAE.


The Carabao Cup third round sees the competition welcome the Premier League’s big guns. There are five games on the night and the standout ties include Tottenham Hotspur’s short trip to Leyton Orient and Manchester United’s visit to Luton Town.

Sport for the day kicks off much earlier when the NFL’s second round concludes with the clash between New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders.

Staying in the USA, Tiger Woods’ first public golf course design commemorates the grand opening of Payne’s Valley Golf Course. An 18-hole charity match sees Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas take on Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose for the Payne’s Valley Cup.

In Horse Racing, there are four meetings in the afternoon, starting at Beverley in the UK and Listowel in Ireland. Into the evening and there is a nine-race card at Newcastle to get stuck into.

Elsewhere, the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings clash in the IPL.


The third round of the Carabao Cup continues with eight matches where Fleetwood Town host Everton and Arsenal take on Leicester City in an all Premier League tie.

The IPL rolls on over in the UAE and England’s white-ball skipper Eoin Morgan could make an appearance for the Kolkata Knight Riders who face the most successful franchise, Mumbai Indians.

The cricket action doesn’t stop there as England’s women finally get their 2020 underway when they host West Indies in the first match of their IT20 series.

The NBA play-offs continue Stateside with the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets going up against each other in game three of their series.


There are three Carabao Cup third round ties still to be decided. Thursday evening sees Bristol City host Aston Villa, League One Lincoln City welcome reigning Premier League champions Liverpool to Sincil Bank and Bournemouth visit Manchester City.

The Cambridgeshire meeting kicks off at Newmarket with four of the races broadcast live on ITV races whilst there will also be two races from Pontefract shown.

Thursday afternoon sees golf’s rearranged Irish Open get underway at Galgorm Castle in Antrim and the IPL continues with Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

There’s a double header of Super League action starting with Hull FC against Salford Red Devils before Castleford Tigers welcome Huddersfield Giants to The Jungle.


Friday Night Football comes from the Championship as Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town meet at the City Ground, both in search of their first points of the season.

It’s a packed morning of sport beginning with Miami Dolphins against Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL before we head Down Under for Bay Of Plenty against Wellington in the Mitro 10 Cup and a Sydney derby in the NRL as the Rabbitohs and Roosters do battle.

Formula 1 returns to our screens with the Russian Grand Prix with practice starting early in Sochi.

Newmarket’s Cambridgeshire meeting rolls on into day two which is the focus of the ITV cameras. There’s also racing taking place at Uttoxeter, Haydock and Newcastle.


There are four games in the Premier League spread out across Saturday starting at the AMEX with Brighton against Manchester United. Everton and Crystal Palace have started the season well and clash at Goodison Park before West Brom welcome Chelsea to the Hawthorns. The day’s Premier League action concludes at Turf Moor as Burnley face Southampton.

Wycombe Wanderers host Swansea City in the Championship’s early kick-off followed by a full programme of Championship, League One and League Two action.

There are two Group 1s on the Saturday of the Cambridgeshire meeting with the Cheveley Park Stakes and Middle Park Stakes taking centre stage. There’s also action from Haydock and the Curragh in front of the ITV cameras.

Qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix gets underway in Sochi while the cricket continues with England Women v West Indies Women in their second IT20 match and Kolkata Knight Riders against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

It’s semi-final day in Rugby Union’s European Rugby Champions Cup starting with Saracens’ trip to France to take on Racing 92. That’s followed by a historic day in Devon as Exeter Chiefs take on Toulouse in their first ever European semi-final.


Another four-match Super Sunday kicks-off with a tasty Yorkshire derby as Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United welcome Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United to Bramall Lane.

The action continues throughout the day with Tottenham taking on Newcastle, Manchester City against Leicester and Wolves travelling to West Ham. Meanwile, in the Championship, Norwich City and Bournemouth meet as second tier clubs following their relegation last season.

Lewis Hamilton will be looking to add to his six Formula One Grand Prix victories so far this season in the Russian Grand Prix from Sochi.

Rajasthan Royals take on Kings XI Punjab in the IPL before Golf’s Irish Open concludes at Galgorm Castle in Antrim.

Then it’s another action-packed Sunday of NFL action with no less than 10 fixtures taking place across the States.
