Each season, 12 teams compete in the Super League for a chance to qualify for the Championship-deciding Super League Grand Final.

Catalan Dragons are the 12th team in the competition, with the French side the only non-English based side.
With each side playing 29 regular season games, the team that sits top at the table wins the League Leaders Shield and gains a place in the Play-off Semi Final.
The other sides in the top six league positions battle it out in a knockout Play-off format, before the showpiece Grand Final takes place, usually held at Old Trafford in Manchester.

Leeds Rhinos enter the 2021 Challenge Cup as the defending champions, beating Salford Red Devils at Wembley Stadium to win their 14th title.

Rugby League World Cup
The pinnacle of International Rugby League, the World Cup is contested once every four years by 16 teams, including the likes of England, Australia and New Zealand.
Australia won the 2017 edition of the tournament, beating England in the final on the way to their 11th title, the most won by any Country in the competition.
The 2021 tournament will be held in England between October and November, with 16 teams split across four groups. The World Cup Final is scheduled to take place at Old Trafford, Manchester.
