Table-topping Brighton destroy Charlton home run

Brighton continue to lead the way in League One after they handed Charlton a first home defeat of the season with a thumping 4-0 win at the Valley.

Goals from Inigo Calderon, Glenn Murray, Kazenga Lua Lua and Matt Sparrow clinched victory for Gus Poyet’s side, who are 9/2 to win the League One title.

Lua Lua had only been on the pitch for five minutes when he fired in the Seagulls’ third, which is his fourth goal for the club since arriving on loan from Newcastle.

Second-placed Peterborough (9/2 to be League One champions) are hot on Brighton’s trail, as they survived a stirring Swindon fightback to win 5-4 at London Road.

The Posh led 3-0 and 4-1 only for the visitors to hit back twice, but the home side’s late pressure told when Swindon defender Kevin Amankwah bundled into his own net to give Peterborough a 5-4 win.

Bournemouth are chasing a second successive promotion, and they are currently in third place. Can they win the League One title? They are 22/1 to do so. See the full League One Betting Odds market.
