Real Madrid trophies to decide Mourinho’s Premier League return

Jose Mourinho has stated that he wants to return to England for his next challenge and Ladbrokes are offering 7/4 that he is a manager in the Premier League again next season.

However, much could come down to how much success he experiences at Real Madrid this season as to whether he decides to stay or go at the Bernebeu.

Mourinho has never been labelled as a failure at any of his clubs to date, helping Porto and Inter Milan to Champions League glory, while winning the Premier League twice at Chelsea.

He will want to continue this success, particularly at a club the size of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid are still fighting on three fronts this season and Mourinho will want to overhaul Barcelona in La Liga or win the Champions League as a complete minimum.

If he fails in both tournaments, his own morals may force him to stay for another season in order to win a trophy, despite the fact that he does not seem to be getting the love at the club that he has been afforded elsewhere.

It is 2/5 in the football betting that he is not managing in the Premier League on the first day of next season and even if he does leave Real Madrid, there are a host of top European clubs that would gladly secure his signature.

Manchester City is considered his most likely destination and it is 7/4 that this is his next managerial position after Real Madrid.

It is 9/4 that he makes a return to Chelsea next, 15/2 that he takes on the challenge of Manchester United and 33/1 that he moves across Spain to Barcelona.

But given the fact that he is hated by Barcelona fans for a number of reasons, this move is highly unlikely.
