Man City vs Everton: No walkover for Mancini’s men against Toffees

Published:

Up until the 75th minute of their clash against Fulham last weekend, Manchester City looked almost unstoppable.

They’d played four league games and convincingly swept aside every team they’d faced.

However, Danny Murphy’s deflected equaliser for Fulham showed the rest of the league that City could be got at and Everton look good to put them to the test again this Saturday lunchtime…

Match odds

Man City head into the game as overwhelming favourites at 4/9 and, with pretty much all of their attackers in brilliant form, it’s easy to see why.

City had the best home defence in the league last season and haven’t conceded a single goal in their opening two games at the Eastlands this season.

However, Everton have a brilliant record against City and have won seven of their previous eight encounters and three of their last four at Eastlands.

It would take a brave punter to rule the Toffees out of this and 13/2 could prove to be a cracking bet.

Goal markets

The last two meetings between these sides have finished with Everton winning 2-1. The same result can backed at 20/1.

However, a more tempting bet might be to back over 2.5 goals at 3/6. City have hit seven goals in two Premier League home games and every league game they’ve played this term has yielded at least four.

If you’re feeling brave, over 3.5 goals can also be backed at 7/4.
