Score draw on the cards as Tottenham close in on Arsenal visit

It is a testament to the superb season Tottenham have had, along with their tremendous playing style, to see Arsenal priced at 13/10 to beat them at the Emirates on Sunday.

In a fixture that Arsenal are notoriously favourites to win, particularly at home, they are as long a price as you are ever likely to find them against their North London rivals, and will be desperate to achieve a positive result in pursuit of a top four finish.

That said, the Gunners have won just one of their past five meetings with Tottenham, losing on three occasions, including a 2-1 defeat at White Hart Lane earlier this term, and a 3-2 loss on their own soil last season.

Visiting Spurs are 17/10 to complete the double over their neighbours here in the Premier League odds, and with many adamant that they have overtaken Arsene Wenger’s men as the most attractive footballing side in the top-flight, that is a price that several punters will lap up.

It is 23/10 that the third and fourth-placed outfits play out a draw, and a high-scoring stalemate is certainly a possibility, with the fragility of each side viable to exposure from such vast attacking threats in each lineup.

Robin Van Persie will fancy his chances against a side that leaks a goal a game on average, whilst Emmanuel Adebayor will relish the return to his former club, and will be desperate to get on the scoresheet to add to the 35 goals the Gunners have shipped so far this season.

The 3-3 draw played out by the sides at White Hart Lane last season provides further evidence that a score draw is a very possible outcome here also, and whilst Spurs would be the fancied side were they at home, Arsenal need to appease their own fans after a disastrous week in the Champions League and FA Cup.
