Tevez can win back a place in punter’s hearts at Stoke

Carlos Tevez looked sharp in his first Manchester City outing for six months on Wednesday night, and he can follow up his assist in that match by scoring at Stoke this weekend, a 1/1 chance as an anytime goalscorer.

Although understandably lacking match fitness, Tevez’s attacking instincts and impeccable touch were clearly evident again in midweek, and he could very well make an impact from the bench again on Saturday, with 4/1 odds for him to score last appealing.

City are desperate to claim another win as their title charge continues, and as losing first scorer stakes will be refunded by Ladbrokes should Tevez score at any time, it could be worth looking at the Citizens’ vast array of attacking options to get the opener.

Sergio Aguero is always a threat, and could break the deadlock at 7/2 with his 25th goal of the season, whilst the powerful Yaya Toure could notch from midfield at a generous 8/1 to open the scoring.
