Boombawn has had this as his focus for some time now. The trip is no problem, the track suits, and I think good to soft is great for him so I am looking forward to getting stuck in with him. He’s had what looks like a break but we actually had him ready to run in the autumn but the ground disappeared so we never ran him.
West Balboa is definitely coming back to a bit of form. I think this run will do her the world of good. She is fit but I just haven’t seen the form on the last couple of runs. I do think it is starting to happen again for her and I would expect her to run well. The same can be said of Katiera. She had a couple of runs on really bad ground in the autumn and that was no good for her. This is much more like it and I expect her to run well.
This has been the target for some time. He loves the track and the drop in trip isn’t a problem. I am really looking forward to running him.
Cher Tara didn’t get round last week, unseating at the third, so we will be hoping for a clear round here. She hasn’t done an awful lot in her life so there’s no great expectations. We were seeing a little bit more from Shakeyatailfeather, but she got brought down on her last start. She was lucky to get away with that to be honest. It was a terrible melee that day at Doncaster but she has come out of it fine and I think she’s quite a nice mare. Whether she can beat the top few, I don’t know but we are happy with her.
This trip is very suitable for him and it’s the first time we are getting to run him on suitable ground so I am really looking forward to getting out there with him. I think he will have a productive spring.
Be Aware is a lovely horse. He got beaten last time which is frustrating but he was very green and overjumped at the last and gave himself no real chance of winning.
He likes a bit of soft ground and has been in good form this year. I am looking forward to getting out there with him. I know he carries a lot of weight but he’s well up to it. He is a lovely horse and should go well.
Punta Del Este will be ridden by Tristan. He won on his penultimate start at Haydock on really bad ground. It is going to be really soft here. I don’t think the trip is a problem, he just didn’t put his best foot forward the other day for whatever reason. He is in good form and I am very happy with him and I think he is overpriced.
Gweenie May Boy carries a lot less weight. He won last time, he handles the ground, and the trip is no problem so we thought we would give it a go. He is in good form. Seefin has had this race on his agenda for some time. He gets in the race off a nice weight and the ground and trip is a positive. Hopefully we have some good chances.
