Moses to become part of Chelsea squad in £10m deal

Chelsea’s summer spending looks set to continue, with Victor Moses allegedly on his way to Stamford Bridge in a £10m deal.

The Daily Mirror is reporting the Blues have already upped an initial offer of around £7m as they attempt to hold off Liverpool, who are also allegedly interested in the winger who impressed for Wigan last term.

Chelsea are currently the 9/2 third favourites for Premier League glory next season but it will take more than the signing of Moses to see them upset those odds.

Meanwhile, there could be more trouble for Arsenal who may see Theo Walcott follow captain Robin van Persie out of north London.

The Mirror again is reporting that Walcott is devastated that his close friend Van Persie won’t be staying on at the Emirates and, with just a year left on his current contract, is considering his options.

With the Dutchman confirming he wants to leave, he now looks likely to head to Italy and join current Serie A champions, Juventus.

Juve have already had one cut-price bid rejected but are ready to come back in with an improved offer and also pay him a massive £180,000-a-week.

It’s not all doom and gloom for the Gunners though, with talkSPORT reporting they are looking to bag Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote. However, the Magpies’ £20m valuation of the player may put the notoriously frugal north London side off a bid.
