Van Persie’s Stoke record suggests goal drought can end at Britannia
Published:Robin van Persie’s goal drought is bordering on the levels previously associated with Fernando Torres at Chelsea, with his blank at home to Manchester City meaning he has gone 10 games without a goal for the Red Devils.
Various reasons have been given for this lack of goals, but bearing in mind that he has scored in both fixtures for Holland in this barren run, a lack of supply from the Manchester United midfield may be the best argument put forward.
