Marquez looking to make most of rivals troubles

The latest MotoGP round promises to be an intriguing affair after a surprising qualifying session at Laguna Seca ended with Stefan Bradl taking his first ever pole position and Alvaro Bautista claiming a front row spot in third.
Race favourite Marc Marquez splits the pair and has been in scintillating form all weekend.
The Honda rookie won last weekend at the German Sachsenring circuit, taking full advantage of the absence of title rivals Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo, and is 8/11 to win again here.
With that duo missing the race through collarbone injuries, Marquez romped to victory for the second time this season to claim the championship lead.
Lorenzo and Pedrosa will be starting this race sixth and seventh respectively, and question marks remain over the fitness of the two championship protagonists.
The tight and twisty Laguna Seca course features a host of demanding turns, none more so than the famous Corkscrew.
It’s enough to wear out the fittest of riders, and this goes some way to explaining the race winner prices for Lorenzo and Pedrosa.
Yamaha man Lorenzo is 12/1 to win this evening, with Pedrosa an even longer shot at 16/1.
The likely contenders to Marquez in Monterey are Valentino Rossi and Cal Crutchlow.
Seven time champion Rossi won at Assen last month – his first GP win since 2010, and was third last time out in Germany.
The Italian can still produce the goods and should Marquez hit trouble, Rossi could well be the man to capitalise at 10/3.
Crutchlow meanwhile has been the nearly man of MotoGP this season, with four podiums in his last five races.
The Brit crossed the line just two seconds behind Marquez in last Sunday and is 6/1 to claim that elusive first win this evening.
Those fancying an upset in this increasingly surprising season might want to consider pole man Bradl at 12/1 or Bautista at 20/1.
